Meet our Staff
Anthony Anzalone, Psy.D. brings over 15 years of experience working in the community as a clinical psychologist. Dr. Anzalone received his Bachelors in Psychology from Adelphi University and received his Masters of Science and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University, C.W. Post. During his course of education, Dr. Anzalone received specialized training in cognitive behavioral therapy as well as dialectical behavior therapy. He has extensive experience working with individuals struggling with depressive and anxiety related issues, anger issues, transitional issues, school refusal and men’s issues. Dr. Anzalone believes in keeping up to date with the latest advances in the field and strives to provide empirically proven techniques with his client. Prior to private practice, Dr. Anzalone served as a clinical coordinator at a residential treatment center, providing intense therapy to children adjudicated through the legal system and who have difficulties with various emotional and behavioral problems. Dr. Anzalone has also worked at Project Liberty, a disaster-recovery program created by the New York State Office of Mental Health to teach resiliency in individuals who may have been impacted following the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11. He has conducted research on bully prevention programs for use in schools.

Amanda L. Grodewald - Adler, Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist and a certified School Psychologist through the State Education Department of New York. Dr. Grodewald - Adler received her Masters of Science and Doctorate from St. John's University in Jamaica, NY. Dr. Grodewald-Adler was awarded a Graduate Fellowship during her studies, which provided her with the opportunity to conduct research investigating the relations amongst thought patterns, bullying, and depression in children and adolescents. During the course of her training, Dr. Grodewald-Adler received specialized training in cognitive-behavioral therapy, rational emotive behavior therapy, psychoeducational assessment, behavioral and academic consultation, and school-based interventions. Dr. Grodewald-Adler received clinical training at the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center in New York, NY where she provided psychological services to adolescents with a broad range of difficulties, including depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorders, oppositional behaviors, learning disabilities, medical related stress, adjustment difficulties, and peer relational problems. In addition to private practice, Dr. Grodewald-Adler conducts psychological assessments and provides individual and group counseling in several area school districts as an independent contractor for Island Tutoring Center, Inc. Recently, Dr. Grodewald-Adler received training in CBT for Insomnia and runs individual and group treatment programs for sleep problems. Dr. Grodewald-Adler is dedicated to providing a supportive therapeutic environment for the individuals and families with whom she works in helping them face life’s challenges in a new and more thoughtful way.
Veronique Deutsch - Anzalone, Psy.D. is a NYS licensed clinical psychologist. Dr. Deutsch - Anzalone received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at the State University of New York at Binghamton and received her Master of Arts in Experimental Psychology and Advanced Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from Long Island University at C.W. Post. Additionally, she received a second Master of Arts and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA. During her course of training, Dr. Deutsch-Anzalone received specialized training in cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and applied behavior analysis. Dr. Deutsch-Anzalone has worked intensely for over eight years with adults, adolescents, and children with anxiety disorders, behavior and anger issues, and depressive disorders. Dr. Deutsch-Anzalone practiced her clinical internship at The Devereux Foundation’s Mapleton Residential Treatment Center in Malvern, PA where she provided individual, group, and family therapy to adolescents with behavioral and emotional disorders. Before private practice, Dr. Deutsch-Anzalone worked as a clinical psychologist at Just Kids Early Childhood Learning Center where she provided individual and group therapy to young children with learning disabilities and parent management training to adults. Presently, Dr. Deutsch-Anzalone runs a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction group for adults and specializes in working with new mothers and mothers-to-be who are experiencing anxiety or depression with motherhood. Dr. Deutsch-Anzalone finds her clinical work genuinely rewarding and dedicates herself to improving the quality of life of her clients and their families.
Shannon Harvey, Psy.D is a New York State licensed clinical psychologist. Dr. Harvey received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Syracuse University and a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Yeshiva University in New York. In addition, Dr. Harvey received a Master of Science and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. While attending graduate school, Dr. Harvey acquired specialized training in cognitive-behavioral therapy, applied behavioral analysis, parent training, psychological assessment, as well as mindfulness and motivational interviewing. Dr. Harvey utilizes such therapeutic techniques for the treatment of children, adolescents, and families. She completed her internship and post-doctoral residency at Child Provider Specialists/Dan Marino Center in Weston, Florida where she served as the cognitive behavioral intervention specialist. Dr. Harvey specializes in the treatment of autism spectrum disorder with co-occurring anxiety disorders for children and adolescents. Furthermore, she has gained tremendous experience providing individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults with generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, specific phobia, panic disorder with agoraphobia, as well as school refusal, intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, autism, and other behavioral and developmental disorders. As a clinician, Dr. Harvey has provided individual and group therapy social skills training for children and adolescents. Dr. Harvey is passionate about her work and is committed to enhancing her clients quality of life by providing a supportive and safe environment.

Jyoti Manchandani, Psy.D is a NYS licensed psychologist and
certified School Psychologist through the State Education Department of New
York. Dr. Manchandani received her
Masters of Science and Doctorate from Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY in
2005. For over 10 years, Dr. Manchandani
provided individualized mandated therapy, parent training and support, CPSE/CSE
evaluations, ongoing behavioral management group leadership, functional
behavioral assessments, and individual behavioral intervention plans for young children. Within the last 5 years, Dr. Manchandani has
transitioned to working with adult patients, predominately in skilled nursing
and rehabilitation centers. She actively
functions within multidisciplinary teams of medical doctors, social services,
and family members to address and improve overall functioning of residents in
community based living. She provides
diagnostic evaluations and short-term evidence based CBT for residents with a
variety of psychological conditions, including Anxiety Disorders, Depressive Disorders,
and Adjustment Disorders. Dr.
Manchandani is committed to provided meaningful, purposeful, evidence based
psychological services to children, families, and adults to improve your
quality of life.
